Athlete Profile
We start by understanding the athlete’s background, goals, and any specific concerns or challenges they may have.
Orthopedic Screen
A thorough examination of the athlete’s musculoskeletal system to identify any existing or potential issues.
- Upper/Lower Quarter Screen: Assessment of the upper and lower body movements and mechanics to pinpoint areas of strength and weakness.
- Joint Range of Motion (ROM) and Strength Testing: Evaluation of the athlete’s flexibility, mobility, and strength in key joints to assess overall physical readiness.
Movement and Mobility Profile
Analysis of movement patterns and mobility restrictions to develop targeted interventions for improvement of athletic movement, essential for optimal performance and injury prevention.
Performance Profile
Evaluation of various performance metrics to gauge current capabilities and potential areas for enhancement.
Load Velocity Profile (LVP): Measurement of an athlete’s ability to generate force and velocity in different movement patterns, such as hip and knee dominance.
Reactive Strength Index (RSI): Assessment of an athlete’s ability to rapidly produce force in response to external stimuli, critical for explosive movements.
CMJ Peak Power, Landing Asymmetry, Eccentric Braking Capacity: Assessment of side to side discrepancies as well as total power output, force acceptance and breaking load, as well as over 20 other performance metrics.
Eccentric utilization Ratio (EUR): Assessment ratio used to assess an athlete’s ability to use stored elastic energy during the transition from eccentric (muscle lengthening) to concentric (muscle shortening) phases in movements like jumping; indicating the effectiveness of the stretch-shortening cycle.
Velocity Testing
Utilization of advanced timing systems to measure speed and acceleration in various contexts, including sprints and medicine ball throws.
